The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) requires that you complete a course from a Recognized Educator to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

No. We do not administer the PTCE or the ExCPT. We prepare prospective pharmacy technicians to pass the PTCE through our self-paced online course. Please click on the links provided to sign up or for more information on either exam after the completion of our course.
Yes. Both 100CPhT and 123CPhT are PTCB-Recognized Training Programs. This is a requirement for anyone who takes the PTCB Exam after January 1st, 2020.
To be eligible to take the PTCB Exam (PTCE) you must first take a PTCB-Recognized Education/Training Program (RxTechExam.com) or work a minimum of 500 hours as a Pharmacy Technician. You will then need to pass the question PTCB Exam. More information can be found on the PTCE Candidate Guidebook.
In most cases the only action required after passing the PTCE is to register with your state. Due to varying state regulations you’ll need to check with your state’s board of pharmacy. Click here for more information about your state's requirements.
Put very simply… No. We provide everything you’ll need to study for, and pass the PTCE. The PTCB doesn't require any externship in order to take their exam.
